Candida Lopez
Executive Director
Candida is an Arizona native. She lived in Denver, Colorado over ten years and moved back to the valley in 2011. She has been a Veterinary Receptionist & Manager for 19 years. She has been married to her husband David for 20 years and they have two Pitbulls & three cats, Troubull, Rubi, Oliver, Izzy, & QT. She loves spending time with her family & friends, baking, & loves the outdoors.
Krystal Ramirez, CVT
Director of Medical Services
Krystal started working at DHAC when she moved from Colorado to Arizona in 2015. She has two dogs- a black German shepherd named Koda and a white pitbull mix named Meatball. She attended veterinary technology school in Fort Collins, CO and graduated as a CVT in 2012. In her free times she enjoys hiking, live music, and watching football- GO CHIEFS!
Skyler

Technician
Skyler graduated from high school in 2014 and moved here from Tucson AZ shortly after; she now resides in Anthem. She has been a technician for the past 5 years. She went to and graduated from Tech Assist School and we welcomed her to our team immediately after! She has two dogs of her own, a Chihuahua mix named Hercules who is 7 years old and a German Shepherd named Rah who is 3 years old. She enjoys spending her free time with her fur babies, whether it be going on small walks to the park or taking advantage of being lazy on the couch with them enjoying their cuddles.
Kara
Technician
Kara started working at DHAC as a Technician Assistant in 2018 with a Certificate in Veterinary Assisting. She then went back to school and received her Veterinary Technology Certificate and degree from Pima Medical Institute in 2020. She is now a Technician at Desert Hills Animal Clinic, and working to become a Certified Veterinary Technologist.
She has 1 dog named Bando, a 3 year old Pitbull mix. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, seeing live music and taking her dog on trips to Sedona or Flagstaff for a hike.
Natalia
Technician
Natalia has lived in Phoenix, Arizona for the majority of her life. She simultaneously graduated from high school and West-MEC’s accelerated veterinary science program where she received her veterinary assistant certification. Now, she is working towards her CVT licence which she is very excited to obtain! Natalia has dreamed of working with animals since she was 4 years old which is why she has loved every minute of finally being able to do so!
In her free time, she loves to do any type of outdoor or sporty activity and spending time with her fluffy maltipoo, Kenneth.
Ashley
Technician
I have always dreamed of working with animals since I was little. I graduated West-Mec vet assistant program in 2021 then proceeded to go to Pima medical Institute for Veterinary technician and graduated in 2023. Now I am working at Desert Hills Animal Clinic as a vet technician while I study for my boards to become a CVT. I have three dogs, Red, Twix, and Princess and they are my world!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and going to concerts.
