I have loved animals since I was a small child. I even had yearly yard sales and donated the benefits to the local Chino Valley Animal Control Center. I grew up helping my mother raise orphaned puppies, kittens, and birds. It was no hard choice for me to enter the field of animal medicine when I was old enough to get a job. At age 15, I started working with Prescott Animal Hospital cleaning horse stalls and quickly worked my way up to a kennel attendant/technician assistant.
In summer of 2007, I moved to Phoenix and began veterinary technician school at Kaplan College. In Dec.2007, I began work at Desert Hills Animal Clinic. I graduated from Kaplan in April 2010, and in Sept.2010, I passed both the state and National exams and received my license as a veterinary technician. I plan to continue my education and expand my interest in future years.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, hiking, biking, camping and fishing. If I can spend time outside, I’m happy! I currently have two Springer Spaniels, a an Australian Shepherd and 2 cats! I love each and everyone of them and am glad to be a part of their lives.
Krystal recently moved to Arizona from Colorado with her 4 year old German Shepherd. She attended veterinary tech school in Fort Collins, CO. Even though she lived in Denver for 3 years, she is a die hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loves hiking, live music, and is excited to see what Arizona has to offer!
Ever since I was young I’ve always known I wanted a career working with animals. I’m a military brat and have lived in Arizona for 10 years. I have been working in the veterinary field for nearly 3 years and I have experience with small animals, large animals and wildlife. I have owned a variety of pets but I currently have 4 dogs, 2 rats, a bearded dragon and a tortoise. I enjoy assisting in surgeries, especially orthopedics and dentals. I cannot imagine working in any other medical fields.
