Some illnesses require that your pet be hospitalized so that appropriate therapy and diagnostic testing may be performed. The duration of the stay with us will vary depending upon your pet’s condition and age. We will make your pet as comfortable as possible during his or her stay away from home.

The doctor or technician will call you with a progress report each morning after all lab work and evaluations are completed. Our doctor and staff work as a team and continuity of patient care is assured. Visitation is by arrangement with the doctor if it is deemed advisable.

ICU – Our ICU cages allow the supervision by our doctors and staff so that we may closely monitor your pet’s progress throughout his or her illness.

Isolation ICU – Our clinic has a totally separate isolation unit to prevent pets with contagious diseases from exposing pets that are hospitalized with non-communicable diseases.

The clinic maintains a full pharmacy of veterinary medications. To help ensure your pet’s health and safety, the veterinary practice act of Arizona prohibits veterinarians from prescribing or refilling any medication unless your pet has been examined for that problem within a reasonable period of time.

If you have any questions about a prescription, please call. Use only medications that have been prescribed by a veterinarian for the pet in question.

Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to “squeeze” you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
